Hotel Papillon

The Hotel Papillon location

The three-star #Hotel Papillon is situated on the #Buda side of the Danube, a few steps from the city center, in one of the greenest and quietest parts of #Budapest. One hundred years ago there used to be only rose plantations in this part of the capital city, which is why it has the name Rose Hill (Rozsadomb). Buda Castle, which is part of the World Heritage, the banks of the Danube, the Houses of Parliament (a famous tourist attraction) and numerous baths are only a 10-15 minutes walk away. From the roof terrace of the hotel and the terrace of the panorama appartment there is a beautiful view over the city.

Hotel Papillon’s reviews by travellers comments

  • We liked this cozy little hotel! The staff was friendly, there is a nice backyard to have breakfast at or hang out at during the day. There’s also a pool and free Wifi in the rooms, everything we needed. We stayed there 2 times, in rooms 27 and 37 and the rooms were quiet, huge and comfortable.
  • Last month I travelled to Budapest with 5 students and that hotel was all we needed. Clean and big rooms, WiFi and a backyard with a small pool to relax. Breakfast is quite good and the staff is very friendly (students were late for breakfast and they let them have it with a smile). It’s five minutes from the Danube on foot and five from a big shopping centre
    A good and cheap choice!

My tip to you: if you are the guest of Hotel Papillon, you have to taste their Grosser Papillon Salatteller, because it’s very delecious.

Good to know: this is the only hotel in Budapest where the hotel staff does spek French, very well 🙂
